The IEEE Computer Society Kerala Chapter, founded in 1985, has grown from a small group of passionate computer science enthusiasts into the largest Computer Society Chapter in the world, with 48 active Student Branch Chapters and over 2,400 members. As it celebrates 40 years in 2025, it continues to empower and connect its community through learning, collaboration, and leadership. Major initiatives such as the All Kerala Computer Society Student Convention (AKCSSC) and the All India Computer Society Student and Young Professional Congress (AICSSYC-23) have played a key role in strengthening this ecosystem.

Its consistent efforts have earned notable recognitions, including the IEEE Computer Society Outstanding Chapter Award (2018), the Early Career Professionals Engagement Award (2022), and the IEEE Kerala Section Outstanding Large Society Chapter Award (2023). These achievements reflect the dedication of the volunteers whose ideas, hard work, and teamwork have shaped the Chapter’s supportive community. As it reaches its 40-year milestone, the Chapter looks forward to creating more opportunities and inspiring members to use technology to make a positive impact.
